  • Holiday Break

    December 18, 2014

Posting to say I'm taking a vacation from updates until the New Year. Been working away on the new book, but it's still over a year away from being done. And I don't want to start posts on it yet, as it would be too spoilery.

I think in the new year, I'll explore a bit more of the geography. Specific places in Grey as opposed to large areas.

If I don't manage a post between now and then, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and enjoy the new year.

  • Cover Art

    December 11, 2014

So while the last of the Fallen Throne novellas will come out in January, I also plan to release the book as one work in March.

I'm not an artist. Not by any stretch of the imagination. Hence the somewhat simple template covers I've been using compliments of the kindle market store.

However, for the complete book, I am working with an actual artist to try to get something put together for the release. Something more interesting than two colors. I'll try to show some previews as work develops.

    Until next time.

  • Status Update

    December 4, 2014

Today is going to be a short update.

I'm a little over 200 pages into Book 2.  The title is still up in the air.  I want to use 'halo' somewhere in it, but it's a work in progress.  I don't do a lot of subtext, so my titles tend to be pretty straightforward.

I recently spent the last couple weeks doing some rewrites of the story.  Usually I wait until I'm done to do that, but I had enough thoughts and corrections to tackle that it just felt right doing it now.

I feel like this book will be a little shorter than Fallen Throne.  This story is much more focused, with Khristian and friends on a specific journey pretty much from the get go.  And aside from a few new faces, the gang is back together.

Well, that's it for now.  I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, if it was a holiday you celebrated.
